Greg Thomas joined the COLSA Family of Professionals recently as an Internal Communications Specialist, bringing over 15 years of communications and marketing experience as a corporate employee and small business consultant.
Born and raised in North Alabama, Greg attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville, attaining a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Marketing. He then went on to obtain his M.B.A in Marketing from the Florida Institute of Technology.
In the latter part of his career, Greg has had the opportunity to work with large organizations including Oracle, Sanmina, SCI, and LG Electronics. He worked to support their strategic goals through building effective global internal communications teams and strategies that drove employee engagement, business development, change management, and cultural alignment.
A Superpower of Service to Support Our Communications
Greg notes his biggest superpower is being of service.
“Life is hard enough, it’s good to be a helping hand when you can, which translates well to my work. My willingness to do my job well in support of others allows them to do their job even better.”
Greg felt a desire to join COLSA after seeing an opportunity to grow and bring his talents to a company that truly cares about its employees, community, and commitment to supporting our country’s heroes.
Greg is most excited to be a major catalyst in improving the COLSA Family’s work life for all employees across the country, including our Headquarters in Huntsville, and other locations around the United States.

Fun Facts About Greg Thomas
Greg is married to his UAH sweetheart, Shonice, with two pups named Coco and Butters. They both advise and mentor a service fraternity and sorority at UAH, as well as the youth in their church.
Greg says he loves music and has it playing almost every day. He also enjoys playing the bass guitar. As far as sports, Greg played football and soccer in high school and college and loves a good 5K or outdoor hike. He also calls himself an “amateur cruise enthusiast”:
“I’ve just about been to all the ports-of-call in the Caribbean. Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe are next!”
