Ander Rogers, Air Force Veteran Turned Logistics & Configuration Management Lead

Ander Rogers’ Story

After 26 years serving in the U.S. Air Force (USAF), Ander Rogers joined the COLSA Family in Colorado Springs as the Bounty Hunter Logistics & Configuration Management Lead.

Working with Logistics Across the Air Force

Originally from Virginia, Ander began his educational journey at Norfolk State University, majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Programming. Later, during his time in the Air Force, he earned a Community College of the Air Force Associate in Applied Science Logistics degree. Next, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix.

Ander’s military experience centered largely around the Supply and Logistics Plans career fields. In the Air Force, he was assigned to several of the busiest and largest installations in the USAF, along with numerous Temporary Duty Assignments (TDYs) and deployments across the globe, supporting a variety of operations. He completed his USAF career as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) in charge of all Logistics inspections for the Air Force Space Command Inspector General (IG) and retired in January 2012.

Growing His Career at COLSA

As the Bounty Hunter Logistics & Configuration Management Lead, Ander oversees and supervises procurements, logistics activities, and configuration management activities for the Bounty Hunter contract. Ander started with COLSA as a Logistics Manager, and later worked as the contract lead on the Scintillation Network Decision Aid (SCINDA) contract. He worked the SCINDA contract for almost 8 years with COLSA before it was moved to Nebraska for 2 years and finally returned to COLSA for the last 3+ years.

“My job provides me with a lot of diversifications, so I get the option to spread out my focus and skillsets to impact the Bounty Hunter contract. My favorite part about COLSA would include the strong and growing company culture, the opportunities for growth and learning, as well as the commitment to employee wellbeing.”

A Focus on Family and Togetherness to Make His Mark

Ander attributes a large part of who he is to his family. He has been married to his wife, Lenese, for 38 years, and they have 2 children, Ander III (Trey) and Ashlee, and one grandchild. In his free time, Ander enjoys golfing, fishing, coaching youth sports, and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity.

“One of my aspirations is to continue to take opportunities to travel and enjoy the relationships of my family and friends. COLSA, like the tagline, a ‘Family of Professionals’ is truly a Family-oriented company. COLSA’s leadership at every level, cares and supports employees, and that care extends out to each employee’s family and our communities.”

Ander’s talents include mentoring, adaptability, being team oriented, and perseverance. He hopes to continue learning and growing from those around him in everything he does, both personally and professionally.

“I hope to continue learning from those around me, continue to help everyone a part of the COLSA journey alongside me, and to make a positive impact.”
