Air Force Veteran, Ronald “JJ” Jackson, Believes in One Team, One Fight

Ronald “JJ” Jackson works for COLSA as a Midwest Regional Manager, where he manages the U.S. Air Force’s Mobility and Training Aircraft Directorate (AFLCMC/WL) and the Presidential and Executive Airlift Directorate (AFLCMC/WV) contract with over 500 personnel, including subcontractor employees. He interfaces with Senior Government Leaders at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Tinker AFB, and Robins AFB.

JJ attended the United States Air Force Academy and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He served 27 years in the United States Air Force and has a MSA in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

Before joining COLSA, JJ gained 27 years of management experience ranging from Air Force Operations, Special Operations, and Acquisition experience as a Program Manager. He managed two ACAT 1C Acquisition Programs for United States Transportation Command and Air Force Materiel Command.

Growing with COLSA

JJ started as the Senior Program Manager for the Mobility Contract and was then asked to be the Midwest Regional Manager to manage contracts and BD efforts in the region. He has worked with COLSA for 10 years.

Along with his Midwest Regional Manager role, he manages all Business Development and Proposal requests that come into the Dayton office. The Dayton office also contributes to Requests for Information (RFIs), capabilities matrices, and writeups for proposals that are using the WL/WV Contract as documentation.

One Team, One Fight Mindset

JJ managed the transition plan for the AFLCMC/WL & WV contract in 2015. When COLSA won the contract, he was selected to run the Dayton Office and manage the AFLCMC/WL & WV contract soon after. He chose COLSA for the great opportunities to use his AFLCMC/WL experience to run a large contract.

His favorite part about working for COLSA are the people he gets to interact with.

“We all have a One Team, One Fight mentality. The family environment brings us all together with a common goal… be the best company in the world.”

JJ’s Family Focus

JJ’s family consists of his wife, their two children, and seven grandchildren. JJ and his wife run a hobby farm in their spare time, and he also enjoys weightlifting, repairing farm equipment, running around the farm with his grandchildren, and building new projects for his wife. He is also the Elders Quorum President in his church, where he is responsible for the physical and spiritual needs for over 300 members.
