VP/Army NASA Programs

Mr. Hodges (SES, Retired) has over 45 years of work experience in production and systems engineering, quality and reliability, logistics, design/development, Information Services, configuration management, and business development/proposal preparation in both industry and government defense. During his 28 year career with the Army at Redstone Arsenal, AL, he rose to the rank of Senior Executive within the Aviation and Missile R&D Center (AMRDEC) and became civilian Deputy of the Center, leading and directing over 5,000 government and contractor engineers, scientists, and specialists in the development and fielding of Army aviation, missile and unmanned weapons systems. He retired from government civilian service in March, 2009 and joined COLSA Corp. Huntsville, AL, becoming Vice President for Army & NASA Programs.As COLSA Vice President, Mr. Hodges Provides executive leadership over numerous Army and NASA contracts that include almost 300 engineers, technologists and specialists of numerous disciplines. He interfaces routinely with top Army and NASA leadership at Redstone Arsenal and other locations nationally. Much of his work involves Business Development, Capture, and Proposal Preparation in pursuit of new DoD and NASA opportunities. To that end, he has received advanced training in all related disciplines and applies knowledge gained and past experience in his daily performance of duties. In so doing, Mr. Hodges has contributed greatly to COLSA’s substantial growth during his tenure there.Prior to retiring from Government service, Mr. Hodges’ last assignment was Associate Director for Aviation and Missile Systems at AMRDEC. There, he assisted the Center Director in leading and administering overall Center activities including over 2800 government and 2500 contractor personnel with an annual budget of $1.7B. He earned a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1971.
